Some People are just Really Comfortable in front of the Camera

It's been a while since I've posted, so here's something new. I photograph lots of folks who are not comfortable in front of the camera. Average people who haven't been photographed outside of school photos and maybe their wedding. They usually have great stories, often are great looking, but the most important part of my job is making them feel good - so they can genuinely look good - in front of the camera. I also photograph my share of assignments with professional talent who are easy to work with and are very comfortable in front of the camera. Then occasionally I get to photograph someone who actually likes being photographed. Maybe even loves it. A while back I got the opportunity to shoot television host Christian Vera of Si TV. What a joy to shoot someone who is so open, free, and fun. Of course we still had to get the technical stuff out of the way and meet the clients needs, but I had a really good time. Here's a couple of out takes and a shot of the crew, minus two of my favorite stylists who had to move on to a video shoot next door before we grabbed the group shot. Thanks to all.

Great Exuma, Bahamas, Just a couple more shots

Been really busy (in Texas last week, Minnesota, Pennsylvania and Connecticut this week) but promised I'd get a few more Exuma photos up. Only took my iphone and an old point and shoot that has an underwater case. Left the big Cameras at home....

Snorkeling at Thunderball grotto and off Elizabeth Island. Just one of the highlights, Starfish Bay. Couple of acres of 14 - 16" starfish in about 12 inches of beautiful water. From my waterproof point and shoot. Patterson, our tour guide, boat driver and fresh conch salad maker, (he dove for the conch too).
